Shopping for good.
We’ve facilitated free, quality furniture and necessary items to 63 families and individuals! This has included sofa’s, beds, mattresses & boxsprings, rugs, dining room tables, appliances and clothes. Need something? We post FREE items on our in-store Community Board and on our instagram @loveyardsale.co – lets keep adding to this number!
From Incline to Truckee to Homewood and the beautiful places in between, we’ve been making rounds on house clean outs. These clean outs have prevented TRUCKLOADS of furniture finding their way to landfill, kept the store full and allowed us to place needed furniture for our community. Thank you!

It takes community.
We love donations. You’re welcome to drop them off during store hours, Wednesday- Monday 11-4ish. Tax forms are provided. We are 100% donation-based, we do not purchase inventory.
Large donations can be overwhelming, please limit your giving to 2 bags, or 2 boxes.
Things we love
Home goods, small furniture, old stuff with history, artwork, holiday decor, chairs, mirrors, lamps. Crafty things like yarn. We love jars, candles, candlesticks, plate sets, serving bowls, scarfs, hats, clothing and shoes. We love puzzle sets, games and lightly used toys. Love to garden? So do we! We’ll take your unwanted pots and gardening things too.
Lastly, please do not dump things outside, we want to be good neighbors to our community.
Please be considerate of our time, space and energy by limiting donations to clean, resalable items. Excess donations are donated on.
With thanks, xx

Home clean outs and furniture pick-up
We love working with realtors, buyers and sellers to help clean out homes and keep furniture out of landfill. We offer the furniture for free to our community members, and put what we can in store. Pick ups are every other Tuesday. For more information, email: hey@loveyardsale.co
*PLEASE NOTE WE ARE PAUSING PICKUPS DURING SUMMER

One unremarkable Tuesday in 2019 I got into a casual carpool with the VP of Sustainability for Gap, Inc. We spent the car ride to San Francisco talking about projects her team was working on. When I opened the car door in front of 1 Harrison, the home of Athleta and Janie & Jack at that time, my path was shaped. I would pivot out of clothing design and into sustainability.
FAQs
Why do opening hours say -ish?
We are a small, local team sometimes we open a little later and sometimes we stay open later too (especially in summer). Snow and summer traffic can also slow us getting to the store. Call us at 530.562.9492 if you’re worried about hitting our open hours.
Hey, are you hiring?
Part of our commitment to sustainability is to pay the community who works in the store. We have a small, beautiful group of folks that share our values, goals, and love of thrifting. If you love resell and connecting with community, we’d love to meet you. Please stop by or reach out if you’re interested in joining.
